A coming-of-age story set in St. John’s, Newfoundland of 11 year-old Mark, much older on the inside than his 11 years, who uses comedy to win friends and connect with people in his limited world.

Lisa, after witnessing a cataclysmic event on Platform 7 of a railway station, finds her own fragmented memory jogged to reveal a connection between her own life and that of the event she has just witnessed.

Late 80’s in Northern France, women are being sexually assaulted along the same road by the Samber river – with attacks taking place early mornings and in a similar style. The police fail to get to grips with the extent of these assaults or make a connection between the cases. The justice system is overwhelmed by the accumulating cases. It will take 30 years to catch a man, who never stopped attacking women and is responsible for at least 54 cases of rape or sexual assault.

The comedy event of the year took place in April 1986 at the Shaftesbury Theatre in London. All those taking part gave their services free in order to support the famine relief camp in Umbala in the west of Sudan. Tonight Omnibus, in collaboration with Charity Projects, presents the best comic talents in Britain today. Alessandro and Anna, just over the age of 18, meet by chance during an Interrail trip to Spain. It is a hot summer in the late 1990s, and the two immediately fall in love. Their lives, however, are much more complicated than the fate that brought them together, and soon the two are forced to separate. Over the years they remain linked by an intense correspondence, never able to muster the courage to see each other. However, 20 years after their first meeting and now adults, they meet again in Bologna. Their feeling, which has never faded over time, will have to clash with the interferences of a reality more complex than the one they had created only through words.
