The Flying Doctors is an Australian drama series produced by Crawford Productions that revolved around the everyday lifesaving efforts of the real Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia. The Protectors is a British television series, an action thriller created by Gerry Anderson. On 11 July 2007, the controller of BBC One, Peter Fincham, told journalists at the BBC1 new season launch that the trailer showed the Queen "losing it a bit and walking out in a huff". However, the clip which appeared to show the Queen abruptly leaving in an agitated mood was actually of her entering the shoot. The next day, the BBC issued a statement which pointed out the error and formally apologised to the Queen. Both Fincham and the Chief Creative Officer of RDF Media, Stephen Lambert, resigned as a result of the controversy.

The production of the second season started in December 2011, and premiered on June 6, 2012. On September 17, 2012, Syfy announced that the series has been renewed for 12-episode third season, which premiered on March 6, 2013.

Revolver is a British music TV series on ITV that ran for one series only, of eight episodes, in 1978. It was produced by ATV. The series producer was Mickie Most, who was inspired to make the programme after he saw an interview with Top of the Pops' producer Robin Nash, in which he boasted that TOTP was a music programme that the whole family could enjoy together. The official host of the programme was Chris Hill, but it is remembered more for the contributions of Peter Cook. Cook played the manager of the fictional ballroom where the show was supposedly taking place, and frequently made disparaging remarks about the acts appearing.

Crossroads is a British television soap opera set in a fictional motel near Birmingham, England. Written by acclaimed The Sweeney scriptwriter Roger Marshall, the series was released on DVD by Network DVD for the first time on 19 July 2010. Although further series of the programme were planned, lead actor Phillip Sayer was diagnosed with cancer in 1988 and eventually died in 1989. Marshall concluded that it would be wrong to re-cast the part and instead decided to bring the series to a natural close.

George was a Swiss-Canadian television series which aired on CTV on Thursday evenings in 1972-73. The series was based on the 1971 film George!, about the adventures of a St. Bernard dog and his owner who live in Switzerland. Marshall Thompson starred in both the film and the resulting half-hour series. The series made its CTV debut in a Thursday evening time slot on 16 September 1972. However, George ended in 1973 after its only season. The Globe and Mail's Blaik Kirby considered the program to be "abysmal". Despite its short run and mixed critical reaction, the series was rerun on CTV affiliates for years afterwards, usually to fill Saturday morning schedules.

The One: Making a Music Star is an American reality television series that aired in July 2006 on ABC in the United States, and CBC Television in Canada. The show was hosted by George Stroumboulopoulos, the host of CBC's The Hour. It was advertised as being superior to American Idol and Rock Star with the twist that contestants "live together in a fully functioning music academy", with their actions documented similar to the Big Brother format. Reportedly the most expensive summer series in the history of the ABC network, its first episode, on July 18, 2006, scored the lowest audience ever for a premiere episode on a major U.S. broadcast network, with an estimated 3.08 million viewers. Subsequent episodes had even fewer viewers. The series was cancelled after two weeks with the final results undecided on July 27, 2006. The show's website proclaimed "there are no plans for additional episodes".
