Table manners are out. Follow Africa's five mega-predators as they struggle for survival in a cruel season of deprivation on South Africa's Mala Mala Reserve. To survive they must compete for the same resources using every physical and psychological weapon in their respective arsenals. Who will emerge as top predator? What will it take to survive? Enter their minds, see through their eyes, and prepare to experience the battle for survival as never before in this stunningly filmed operation into the eat or be eaten world of Predators at War. Cheetah Story
The Serengeti is Africa's largest nature reserve and one of its most notable inhabitants is the cheetah, also called cheetah. She takes care of food on the shelf and with her he and his brothers and sister have nothing to fear. Lesson one: tripping the calf, lesson two: choking and biting to death, lesson three: Catching a calf yourself. Mother cheeta allows her boy to practice on a gazelle calf she has caught for them. One day, the young cheetahs will have to hunt themselves. Without Mommy's help.
Inside the Perfect Predator
Four top predators are compared, each champion in a type of environment, with key adaptations. On the ground, the cheetah outruns prey (approached in masterly stealth) and enemies. In the air, the peregrine falcon is a flight and diving machine. In sweet water, the Nile crocodile survives since the Dino age, without natural enemies, with several amazing metabolism stunts. Lurking under water, it snaps blindly at migrating wildebeest, then waits underground. In the oceans, the equally ancient shark, notably the great white, migrates seasonally to find abundant prey, such as young seals around South Africa.

Africa's Creative Killers
This series studies an array of predatory models in each location, and then looks at why particular animals are able to lift themselves above the rest. Sometimes starvation drives predators to the extreme – as in Savute, where a particular lion pride unlocks the key to hunting elephants. Or vicious competition drives them to hyper-efficiency – as in Ndutu, where cheetahs team up to out-hunt hyena mega-clans… Or sometimes the chance to kill comes so rarely that when it does appear every effort is put into the killing blow – as at the Grumeti river, where massive crocodiles wait an entire year for one feast This is the NatGeo version of "Africa's Predator Zones"
