Show Documentary Reality
Tom McLaughlin, longtime woodworker, teacher and a member of the New Hampshire Furniture Masters, teaches the latest wood crafting techniques, as well as tips and instruction for how to create projects that can be passed down for generations. In each half-hour episode, unusual design inspiration will be turned into easy-to-follow projects for woodworkers at every skill level.

Melody
An owl teaches his class full of birds about melody. It's all around in nature. Only birds and man can sing; man "sings" even when he speaks. We see a quick survey of the stages of life, as captured by songs: the alphabet song for primary school, Here Comes the Bride, The Old Gray Mare, etc. Some inspirations for song are outlined in song: love, sailing, trains, the West, motherhood, etc., but "we never sing about brains." Finally, an example of how a simple melody can be expanded into a symphony: an elaborate version of the simple tune that opened the lesson
The Explosive Generation
Peter Gifford is a likable, dedicated schoolteacher that teaches a senior life skills class. When student Janet Sommers brings up the topic of sex and dating, he asks students to write questions on the topic, and will cover them in the next class. The parents get wind of what Gifford is about to do, notify the principal, and he warns Peter not to read the questions in class. Gifford decides to go against this and is suspended. In each episode of 24 Hour Design, the host meets with the homeowners to discuss the redesign of their room. The team and homeowners work on the space together up until the final hour.
