Wealthy, powerful and influential Seth Dharamdas leads a financially secure life in a palatial mansion. He is known to come to the aid of all people who are beyond any hope of assistance, and this leads to him being known as "Dharmatma". But Seth Dharamdas does have a number of skeletons in his closet, and a parallel life as a gangster. The only person Dharamdas hates and fears is none other than his very own son, Ranbir, who has sworn that he will never compromise with his father's dark career, and threatens to expose him. Dharamdas has never conceded surrender or defeat at the hands of any mortal, and will never even consider to do so - even if this means the death of Ranbir.

He recruits a select group of people to carry out unpleasant tasks - such as beating someone up, or even killing someone. One of his recruits is Jaggu, who will do anything for a price. Jaggu loves Tina but is afraid to tell her. When Jaggu's mom is hospitalized, he comes to Kachra for monetary assistance, he is assigned to a task instead, and unable to complete the task he is apprehended by the police with the assistance of a librarian, and is subsequently found guilty and sent to prison. Jaggu's place is taken by Rajeshwar alias Raja, who is also attracted to Tina and even rescues her from one of Kachra's goons, Chabiley, and they both fall in love. When Jaggu returns from prison, he finds his mom has passed away, and his sister is missing, believed to have committed suicide.

Surya lives a middle-classed lifestyle along with his honest father who is a Police Inspector. When his father arrests a gangster, he is killed, leaving Surya alone to fend for himself. He overcomes many problems, comes to the rescue of a young boy, Jadhav, and together they assist other oppressed youth, who subsequently make Surya their leader. Years later Surya is a much respected and equally feared Don, and lives a wealthy lifestyle along with Jadhav, Bannerjee, and Mathur as his trusted assistants. He dispenses justice quickly and comes to the assistance of the poor and needy. He meets with Mathur's daughter, Priya, and both fall in love with each other. Jadhav, meets with Nandini, and wants to get married to her. Then complications shatter their lives when Pakistani gangster, Feroz, starts taking an interest in India and wants Surya to join forces with him. When Surya refuses, Feroz lets lose a reign of terror that will devastate and change Surya's life forever.

Things escalate out of control when Nahar is killed; and Ishaan becomes a prime suspect in the multiple-family homicide.

Steptoe and Son is a British sitcom written by Ray Galton and Alan Simpson about a father and son played by Wilfred Brambell and Harry H. Corbett who deal in selling used items. They live on Oil Drum Lane, a fictional street in Shepherd's Bush, London. Four series were broadcast by the BBC from 1962 to 1965, followed by a second run from 1970 to 1974. Its theme tune, "Old Ned", was composed by Ron Grainer. The series was voted 15th in a 2004 BBC poll to find Britain's Best Sitcom.
