Yuta Okkotsu is a nervous high school student who is suffering from a serious problem—his childhood friend Rika has turned into a curse and won't leave him alone. The story takes place during the Westernization Movement in an alternate world where humans and spirits coexist. To solve the problems that arise between the two, human lieutenants are partnered with half-spirit girls to form the Ministry of Spirit Affairs.
