Behind the Haystacks
A middle-aged fisherman living with his wife and daughter on Greeceās northern border, who is drowning in debt, starts to smuggle migrants across the border lake, in exchange for a hefty fee. Prespav
Kosta and Ula are a married couple who decide to adapt the family house to a boarding house. Costa's brother, Tony, manages to find funding to open the boarding house. Mile is the eldest brother who is opposed to the existence of a guesthouse with precise rules. Receptionist Jelena is the only employee in the boarding school and is "a girl for everything. Jelena often has conflicts with the Ula because of her sexuality and a spanking relationship with Costa as well as with the guest in the boarding house. Mario is a Croat, a Buddhist. He is a chef at a boarding house who does not know how to cook, there is just because he is Tony's partner. Jelena helps Mario to order food from nearby localities.
Heights
One of the most ambitious Bulgarian projects in recent years, Heights is an adaptation of Milen Ruskov's novel of the same name, published in 2011. The film explores the Bulgarian realities of the 1870s a few years before the war, that would liberate the country from the Ottoman occupation. Directed by Victor Bojinov and adapted by Neli Dimitrova, the story follows Gicho a young man in a revolutionary group led by Dimitar Obshti, a real-life revolutionary fighting against the Turks. After a successful train robbery Obshti entrust Gicho with a special mission: to deliver a letter to Vasil Levski, the country's most famous freedom fighter, now considered hero and dubbed The Apostle of Freedom.
Open Door
Rudina sets off on a long journey with her unmarried pregnant sister, Elma, to meet their strict and traditional father in the Albanian village where they were born. As Rudina's car makes its way over the mountains, Elma comes up with a plan to enlist a former classmate to play the part of her husband.

The Longest Journey
March 1903. The Ottoman Empire is in a process of disintegration. Only Macedonia is not still liberated in the Balkans. The Macedonian revolutionary movement is in full growth. The Turks are trying to keep their last bastion in Europe. The Macedonian people are being exposed to the most severe oppressions as it is due to the revenge of the Turks for supporting and protecting the komitas - Macedonian freedom-fighters. In such a case the Turks besiege a village where a weeding ceremony is taking place. They shoot at the peasants, round them up and most of them are being taken away. More than two hundred people are taken prisoner in the fortress. The Turks sentence them to from 15 to 101 years in prison. Then the prisoners are loaded on a ship and are transported to Asia Minor. On their way through the desert the Macedonians are exposed to various humiliations. A lot of them overeat and die. In October 1908, the prisoners arrive at the place where they are to serve the sentence.
Housekeeping for Beginners
Dita never wanted to be a mother, but circumstances force her to raise her girlfriendās two daughters, tiny troublemaker Mia and rebellious teen Vanesa. A battle of wills ensues as the three continue to butt heads and become an unlikely family that must fight to stay together.
Loners

Through him she meets Jacob, who uses copious amounts of weed in order to be constructive in this gloomy world. On the other hand, this destroys his short-term memory - and he forgets that he already has a girlfriend...

The Border Post

It is the spring of 1987 and the thought never even crosses their mind that they would, in fact, put them back on quite soon and go to war.
Cold November
In the early '90s, the Yugoslavian Government cancelled the autonomy of Kosovo, dissolved its Parliament and closed down the National Television. All institutional life was reorganized by the new authorities, while the majority of the citizens responded with peaceful demonstrations. During this terrible time, Fadili, who works as an archivist, has to choose between two options, knowing that both of them are wrong. He therefore involuntarily and unwillingly "swallows" the shame, endures the pressure bearing down from all sides and puts up with the bad reputation for only one reason: to provide for his family.
The Constitution

As If I Am Not There
A harsh dose of cinematic realism about a harsh time ā the Bosnian War of the 1990s ā Juanita Wilson's drama is taken from true stories revealed during the International Criminal Tribunal in The Hague. Samira is a modern schoolteacher in Sarajevo who takes a job in a small country village just as the war is beginning to ramp up. When Serbian soldiers overrun the village, shoot the men and keep the women as laborers (the older ones) and sex objects (the younger ones), Samira is subjected to the basest form of treatment imaginable.
The Wise Guy
Alekos (Dinos Iliopoulos) is in love with Voula (Maria Voulgari) whose brother threatens to kill him if he doesn't marry her soon. Alekos' father (Pantelis Zervos) on the other hand insists that Alekos' sister (Zoe Laskari) has to get married before him. His sister Annoula (Zoe Laskari) is in love with Antonis (Stephanos Stratigos) and pressures him to ask for her hand in marriage from her family. Antonis meets Alekos by accident at a cafe in Panorama - they don't know each other - and advises him to use the infalible method of "escaping through an engagement" to calm down Voula's brother. This is after all what he intends to do himself... And God help them...

In the past, the territory had been occupied by the Italian armies, and a flashback shows a massacre in one village, a revelation that disaster has been a part of their history, in one way or another. No matter how he argues, the young man who advocated the watermill loses out to the builders of a dam - something that does not bode well for the low-lying village.

Tune Up
Legendary TV host Branko UvodiÄ invites all tamburica bands for a competition at a music festival. Attracted by the big prize, the band 'Aveti ravnice" travels to the festival and is wrongfully accused of stealing the main prize. During the night, they are chased by the police and have to fight other tamburica bands on their way to their home village. When they finally arrive, they face their last and biggest challenge.
Directions
A road movie set in present day Bulgaria, a country remains optimistic, mainly because all the realists and pessimists have left. At a meeting with his banker, a small business owner, who drives a cab to make ends meet, discovers the bribe he will have to pay to get a loan has doubled. The ethics board that reviewed his complaint about extortion now wants its share of the action. At his wit's end, he shoots the banker and then himself. The incident sparks national debate on talk radio about how despair has taken over civil society.
