Caco is a proud, handsome man, head of a family, and very powerful in the local community. Yet he has been torn to pieces by the death of his beloved daughter. It seems that Diego's father, Caco's brother, is in hiding after having killed a man from the Caravaca family, who are equally powerful in the community. Wine Cellars itself is a Spanish-French co-production. He shot the film in the Paris studios and also in Spain, Andalusia and Seville. According to the critics, his story of love, honour, revenge, bulls and vineyards masterfully captures the spirit of this region, the sun beating down on the parched earth, life on the farms and vineyards and the celebrations coloured by the famous flamenco dance. Wine Cellars was originally a silent film and its soundtrack was only added later.

The scenario of a sale of flamenco is excellent to show the relationships between a marriage that runs (Mariquilla and Gabriel) and a men that harasses Mariquilla.ñ A friend of that gentleman and the husband complete the picture, in addition to multiple singers. The husband ends up in jail for hitting that man stalker, and marriage is still together, because the husband never believed in infidelity, that the film does not exist.

Flamenco Hoy is the first live play directed by the great Spanish filmmaker Carlos Saura. For this staging it has more than 20 artists of the new generation, all of them possessing a great talent and very recognized in their field, exhibiting a lively, brilliant show, full of strength and energy. The dance, composed of 8 excellent dancers is presented with its varied samples of the traditions acquired over the years and its use of new trends such as jazz and contemporary. The cante is represented by 2 portentous cantaores who interpret the compositions and arrangements of Chano Domínguez, internationally recognized Spanish pianist and several times nominated for the Grammy. 4 musicians of great level complete the music scene.
