Produced by the Luang Prabang Film Festival, "MEKONG 2030" is a collection of short narrative films that envision the future of the Mekong River from five different national and cultural perspectives. Set in the year 2030, they aim to both entertain and inspire audiences to actively protect this critical life source.

The Future is Wild is an animated children's version of Canadian 2003 joint Animal Planet/ORF and ZDF co-production The Future Is Wild. It was developed by Nelvana Animation, and directed by Mike Fallows, with characters and creatures designed by Brett Jubinville. It is made in CGI animation. The show is a Teletoon Original Production and first aired on Teletoon on June 28, 2010; it made its debut in the US on Discovery Kids on October 13, 2007. It now airs weekday mornings on The Hub. Mekong
A story of a historical adventure set around the search for soldiers lost in the Vietnam war, the Mekong River Phuri tribe and the great Naga said to be protecting the land. A Thai-American company begins to build a bridge across the Mekong River connecting Thailand and Laos. Dave Shaun—an American and former soldier in the Vietnam war—is currently the construction site manager for the bridge. Kimberly Baker is a professor researching the ancient Phuri tribe.
Spirits of the Mekong River
Dr Akkanee and his crew travel to a village that is old fashioned and superstitious to study the paranormal and that proves that it is not true. In the village, he meets and falls for a girl named Buapun. He is curious about her since he often dreams about her before coming to the village. The village is close to the Mekong River, which the villagers believe house spirits and deities. This is true as a spirit of a vengeful princess resides underneath the river waiting for her betrothal, which is the reincarnated Dr Akkanee.
