Monkey King comes to life as a young boy named MK, obsessed with the legends of old, discovers Monkey King's magical staff. After witnessing Red Son and Princess Iron Fan release the Demon Bull King from his prison under the mountain, MK accidentally grabs Monkey King’s magical staff and escapes, sending him on a journey to return the staff to Monkey King in order for him to save the day.

Five hundred years ago Monkey King made a riot in the Heavenly Palace, accidentally kicking over the sky stove and causing the Heavenly Fire to fall into the world. In order to save the common people, Princess Iron Fan tried her best to suppress fire, but the Red Boy in her belly was eroded by the true fire of the samida and became a devil boy.

Ziteng was hurt by Wukong. To save her, Liu Er promised the Devil he would use Wukong’s identity and abort the pilgrimage. His fights against Wukong came to draws and nobody could tell who the right monkey was. Liu Er got lost in mind and believed he was Wukong. For the peace of the world, he had to fight side by side with Wukong even at the price of his life.

Another chapter in the Journey to the West saga, this time Tang Sanzang and his disciples must attempt to cross Fiery Mountain. But the region is controlled by demons led by the Bull King, and it seems that Sun Wukong’s own past may prove to be a bigger obstacle than the volcano blocking their way.
