As a young boy, future emperor Nero witnesses the mad Emperor Caligula kill his father and exile his mother. Back in Rome, Nero, now being raised by emperor Claudius after Caligula's death, Agrippina returns. She poisons Claudius' food and Nero becomes emperor.
