Onsdagsväninnan

Karin Larsson and Douglas Hallencreutz has a somewhat peculiar relationship. They meet every Wednesday at Douglas. Karin is Douglas "Wednesday's friend." Otherwise, they live completely separate lives. This Wednesday they wake up together. Karin showers and leave Douglas fancy apartment at Strandvägen, Stockholm. She lives with her father, former captain Larsson. When Karin come home, Baltzar is at the door. Baltzar is a typical "guy" full of ideas, not always successful. It also turns out that Baltzar had a relationship with one of Karin's sisters.

The Judge

Krister and his fiancé Brita return to Stockholm after a stay in Italy. Shortly upon their return Krister learns that all his assets left to him by his father has disappeared. Together with Brita he tries to obtain justice in a aristocratic and corrupt legal system.

The Blue Bird

Two peasant children, Mytyl and Tyltyl, are led by Berylune, a fairy, to search for the Blue Bird of Happiness. Berylune gives Tyltyl a cap with a diamond setting, and when Tyltyl turns the diamond, the children become aware of and conversant with the souls of a Dog and Cat, as well as of Fire, Water, Bread, Light, and other presumably inanimate things. The troupe thus sets off to find the elusive Blue Bird of Happiness.

Dead Birds

The film's title is borrowed from a Dani fable that Gardner recounts in voice-over. The Dani people, whom Gardner identifies mysteriously as "a mountain people," believe that there was once a great race between a bird and a snake, which was to determine the lives of human beings. Should men shed their skins and live forever like snakes, or die like birds? The bird won the race, dictating that man must die. The film's plot revolves around two characters, Weyak and Pua. Weyak is a warrior who guards the frontier between the land of his tribe and that of the neighboring tribe. Pua is a young boy whom Gardner depicts as weak and inept.

Emma, a young author, goes to see Erik, the publishing editor whom she's sent her debut novel. Their meeting leads to a love affair. The middle-aged Erik leaves his wife.
