A World War II vet sets out in 1948 to avenge the death of his wife at the hands of Nazis. His targets are four Germans, a Sicilian, and a Hungarian who committed the atrocities. He is aided by a CIA operative, who has another agenda. One of the targeted men is being groomed by the US to become the West German chancellor and is to be protected. Along the way, a third person joins the team.

When they free a man (Ed Lauter) with part of the map to the gold, they then are also pursued by Spanish soldiers. It all leads to a small Mexican town terrorized by soldiers and led a by a good priest (Joaquim De Almeida) who also has knowledge of the gold.

A paint is stolen from a building during a great fire and after recovered, the police finds inside it a mysterious map. A police officer responsible for the case ask his brother, who is an antiques expert, to help him during investigations. Analysing the paint an fabric, he finds that the map belonged to Cristopher Columbus and the drawings in it refer to an old legend of a lost treasure. Asside from unravel mysterious riddles the police officer and his brother will have to fight against a violent gang which is after the treasure as well.
