Καλώς Ήλθε το Δολλάριο

Philip (Giorgos Constantinou), a shy and dignified accountant and English teacher, lives with his mother (Zoli Garbi) and his two siblings in the same house. His and his mother's meager income, just enough to support them all. His younger brother (Alekos Tzanetakos) remains unemployed and lazy rather out of conscience, while his older brother, Kimon (Orpheus Zachos), dreams of being re-elected prefect and refuses, although a qualified accountant, to work, considering the positions demeaning and irrelevant offered to him. His tragic financial situation will be further burdened by their imminent forced move to another house. It is also the first color Greek film, edited entirely in Greece. It is based on the play "The 6th American Fleet" by Alek Sakellarios and Christos Giannakopoulos, who also wrote the screenplay, while Sakellarios directed the film.

The Decline

Paschalis Zoumpoulos, an otherwise decent family man and director of the house Frabalas & Co. belonging to his wife Corinna, is an incorrigible skirtchaser. Lily of the Harbor

In the end, however, she falls in love with him, and this love blesses everyone and everything.

The Little Mouse

Loukis, after a successful break-in, manages to escape the police chase thanks to a younf flower seller named Krinoula who introduces herself as "Little Mouse". He will take her with him in his hideout where he lives with Vangelis, Hristina and their gang leader Costas. Loukis wants to live an honest life and so he rents a room with the Little Mouse and tries to astart over. Costas though is not yet ready to see his criminal gang disband...

Ultimately, a series of happy times will cancel the fake marriage, mother's surgery, and leave Kosmas the money to marry and start married life with greater financial comfort.

The Trip

This film is a social comment of the times, exploring issues that centre around relationships and what was allowed and what was not allowed at the time (early 60s) in Greece. Aliki Vougiouklaki is a poor young girl dreaming of a better life and the "handsome prince on a white stallion" who will deliver her from her miserable existence. She meets and falls in love with a young man (Nikos Kourkoulos) who also falls in love with her, but things are not as simple as they first seem. His past comes to haunt them with tragic consequences. Vassilis Diamantopoulos is excellent as the half-crazed old captain whose life strangely echoes that of young Aliki.
