She watches the ocean and comes up with the idea for manga series "Sazae-san".

A rural gentleman's peaceful life takes a turn for the worse when a couple from Tokyo move to his neck of the woods.

Rieko Saibara is a cartoonist and mother of a 6-year-old boy and 4-year-old girl. When she has a difficult time, she throws away her problems with laughter. Her husband Kamoshitda used to be a war camera man, but now he's addicted to alcohol. He struggles to overcome his problem, but keeps failing. Finally, they get divorced. After Kamoshida loses his family, he realizes how precious they are. He focuses on getting away from alcohol, but another disease comes to him. Even though Saibara knows that he can not make it for long, she accepts him back to her family again. Since then a happy, but short, time exists for the family of four.

A female university graduate is searching for a job in Tokyo, but her lack of interviewing skills is failing her. A friend introduces her to a cabaret club in Roppongi, Tokyo called Club Honey. She undergoes a work trial there. There are many women working there and many have personal problems and challenges. The girl begins working there and finds out the job is not exactly as she had first imagined. She then receives a letter from a company at which she had interviewed.

In an interview at age 84, Chuck Jones (1912-2000) talks about his life, particularly his childhood: he describes an adventurous uncle; his mother, who never said no; his father, a critical and abusive man who had his uses; Chuck's going to art school and studying the human body; success as an animator; and, old age. As he talks, we also see clips from his work, we watch him draw, and simple animation illustrates parts of his story.
