When one of the robbers comes into the Cafe, the boys recognize him and along with their friend Gladys trail him to a spooky house in the country where the crooks are hiding out. The bad guys abduct Gladys and the stooges must rescue her.

The titled "rescue squad" appears only briefly in the picture to help firemen rescue two principal characters from a stuck elevator in a building set afire by accident. There are no arsonists in this film.

The Big Heist

The heist was also the subject of the much better-known 1990 film "Goodfella"s, directed by Martin Scorsese. It was also the subject of another made-for-television film: "The 10 Million Dollar Getaway" from 1991.
