Percy Tårar was a Swedish 6-part television show broadcast by SVT in 1996. It was Killinggänget's follow-up to the popular Nilecity 105,6. It was directed by Walter Söderlund and produced by Magdalena Jangard. The loose plot of the series revolves around a number of mostly unrelated storylines which are told in segments in each episode. These segments are flanked by various stand-alone sketches that will sometimes elaborate on minor characters.

The show, which is intended to be humorous yet educational, has remained one of the most popular TV shows in Sweden, attracting an average of 2,150,000 viewers during the 2007 season. The all-time record was set in March 1990, when 3.7 million people tuned in to see the show. This means that nearly every second Swede saw the game show. På spåret is an original format developed by Ingvar Oldsberg for SVT, and he hosted the show for many years. Author and tennis legend Björn Hellberg was promoted from contestant to permanent Oldsberg sidekick in 1995 after winning for four straight seasons. Famous gourmet, restaurant-owner, and former contestant Carl-Jan Grankvist sat in for Hellberg during the 2004 season. In 2009, after 21 years, Oldsberg left and Kristian Luuk took over as the host. Björn Hellberg too decided to leave and was replaced with Fredrik Lindström.

Evolve is a 2008 documentary television series on History. The series premiere, "Eyes", was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Science, Technology and Nature Programming. Each episode attempts to explain the evolutionary origins of a particular trait of living creatures: for example, Tyrannosaurus Rex's 13-inch teeth, the gecko's "Velcro-like" toe pads, and the bald eagle's "telescopic" vision capable of spotting a hare a mile away.

Two Greedy Italians is a BBC television series that first aired on BBC Two in the UK on May 4, 2011. The series sees the chefs Gennaro Contaldo and Antonio Carluccio travelling around Italy to see how society and food has evolved over the years. It was produced by Nicola Gooch. An accompanying cookery book was produced for the series. A second series was broadcast in April and May 2012. X-Ray Mega Airport (also known as Inside Frankfurt Airport) is a five-part British television series which premiered on 21 May 2015 on the Discovery Channel in the United Kingdom and subsequently on international versions of the Discovery Channel in more than 220 territories. The program was commissioned by Discovery Networks International in 2014, and is produced by Voltage TV. The series examines Frankfurt International Airport using CGI, laser scanning technology and thermal cameras to investigate the science and technology behind aviation.

8th Fire: Aboriginal Peoples, Canada & the Way Forward is a Canadian broadcast documentary series, which aired in 2012. Featuring television, radio and web broadcasting components, the series focused on the changing nature of Canada's relationship with its First Nations communities. The television component aired as a four-part documentary series hosted by Wab Kinew as part of CBC Television's Doc Zone, while radio programming devoted to First Nations themes aired on a variety of CBC Radio series and the web component included content from a variety of contributors, including news coverage by other CBC News reporters and a series of short films by 20 First Nations, Inuit and Métis reporters and filmmakers. The series was a shortlisted nominee for the Donald Brittain Award for Best Social/Political Documentary Program, and for Best Cross-Platform Project, Non-Fiction, at the 2013 Canadian Screen Awards.

Rapport is one of the two main news programmes from the Swedish television broadcaster Sveriges Television. Rapport's main bulletin is broadcast every day at 19:30 on SVT1. It runs for thirty minutes every day except Saturday, when it runs for fifteen minutes. Ever since the 1970s, it has been the most watched news bulletin in Sweden. The title is also used for most other news bulletins on SVT. On weekdays in 2006, Rapport is broadcast every half hour between 06:00 and 09:30, at noon, at 16:00 and in the late evening on SVT1 and on-the-hour round-the-clock in SVT24. On weekends, only the prime time and late night editions are broadcast. In the night, it is broadcast every half hour in SVT24. The 19:30 bulletin has special presenters. These presenters usually only host the 19:30 bulletin. In the summer, both Aktuellt and Rapport 19:30 is frequently hosted by temps. The other editions are hosted by a larger team of presenters working in different time shifts.
