The Man Without a World is credited to the legendary (and imaginary) 1920s Soviet director, Yevgeny Antinov. But the film is anything but old. In fact, Antinov himself is the creation of contemporary filmmaker Eleanor Antin. Her film is a moving, comic melodrama set in a typical shtetl (village) in Poland. The Jews’ struggle against poverty and racial hatred is complicated by their own division into hostile political factions of the religious orthodoxy, assimilationists, socialists, Zionists, anarchists and survivors. The love and friendship of three beautiful, successful women in Washington, D.C. are tested by unexpected circumstances.

Charlie, a filmmaker looking for a makeup artist for his new horror film stumbles upon a girl named Sally, who he's attracted to despite her being a minor. Charlie's friend and co-worker, Jeff, advises him not to pursue her as he thinks Sally might be working as an undercover cop.

A young man grows up with his older cousin who is like an older sister to him. When he grows up, he goes to visit her at her home where her friend is also visiting. The three of them under roof make for some interesting circumstances.
