Life in a black ghetto isn't easy for 14-year-old Billie Jean Sims, who has a father in jail, a blind grandmother, and a brother with a drug habit. Growing up among drug pushers, prostitutes, and pimps, Billie Jean still has some things going for her: fierce pride, a loyal friend named Fish, and, at last, enough savings to visit her father 1200 miles away in prison.

Cattlemen use Alamo Pass in order to get their cattle to market. A gang has taken it over and charges a toll to go through it. When one rancher doesn't have enough money to pay the toll, he winds up dead. A local rancher, Bill Bowers, investigates the killing, but his neighbor and rival Molly Spellman decides to take her cattle around the pass instead of through it to avoid the toll. The gangsters kidnap her, and Bill gathers the other ranchers in the area for a final showdown with the gang.

A group of friends visit a remote cemetery in the backwoods of Virginia. After paying respects to her father's grave, Carrie and her friends get lost on the return trip. They stop at a creepy old mansion in hopes of finding directions, only to discover that the house seems empty and abandoned. While they play around and sort through some personal issues, they find that they are not alone. SOMEONE doesn't want them there. SOMEONE from the woods IS HUNTING THEM. The masked killer, known only as "CALEB",chops, hacks, and slices his way through the terrified, stranded trespassers with every farm implement he can find.
