Outwardly the parish priest of a rural English village, Unwin is in fact a secret agent for BISHOP, a covert branch of British Intelligence that combats criminal and terrorist threats from overseas. Aided by junior operative Matthew Harding, the Father answers to his London-based superior – codenamed "The Bishop" – as he would in his public profession. When faced with the challenge of collecting intelligence in a hostile situation, Unwin and Matthew deploy the "Minimiser", a gadget capable of shrinking Matthew to a fraction of his normal size for the purposes of carrying out secret reconnaissance. A nonsensical gobbledegook of Unwin's formulation is used to confuse and distract enemies when required.

Soul Train is an American musical variety show that aired in syndication from 1971 to 2006. Yakkity Yak is an Australian/American/Canadian animated television series created by Mark Gravas that ran on Nickelodeon from November 9, 2002 to December 12, 2003. Revolver is a British music TV series on ITV that ran for one series only, of eight episodes, in 1978. It was produced by ATV. Telefe, which produced the original version, syndicates a 64-episode run of the series in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. It promotes the show as mixing a classic Latin genre with Hollywood aesthetics. From July 2009 it was aired in Slovakia on TV Markíza taking the slot of Latin American telenovelas, but the show was not very successful.

The One: Making a Music Star is an American reality television series that aired in July 2006 on ABC in the United States, and CBC Television in Canada. The show was hosted by George Stroumboulopoulos, the host of CBC's The Hour. It was advertised as being superior to American Idol and Rock Star with the twist that contestants "live together in a fully functioning music academy", with their actions documented similar to the Big Brother format. Reportedly the most expensive summer series in the history of the ABC network, its first episode, on July 18, 2006, scored the lowest audience ever for a premiere episode on a major U.S. broadcast network, with an estimated 3.08 million viewers. Subsequent episodes had even fewer viewers. The series was cancelled after two weeks with the final results undecided on July 27, 2006. The show's website proclaimed "there are no plans for additional episodes".

The VH1 Rock Honors were an annual ceremony paying homage to bands who influenced the sound of rock music. The events began in 2006, and the final event took place in 2008. The general format of each show is for modern bands to "pay tribute" to classic greats of the rock/metal world, after which time the artist being paid tribute to plays multiple songs. The 2006 and 2007 shows featured four inductees each, whereas the 2008 show featured one, albeit with multiple bands paying tribute.
