The Criminal Investigator II is a 1996 Hong Kong police procedural television drama. Produced by Jonathan Chik and edited by Chow Yuk-ming and Chiu Ching-yung, the drama is a TVB production and the direct sequel to 1995's The Criminal Investigator. The story follows a team of investigators from the Organized Crime and Triad Bureau unit of the Royal Hong Kong Police Force.

During the late Eastern Han dynasty, warlords fought for power and control, and Cao Cao held the Emperor captive as a means of controlling other lords. A House Is Not a Home is a TVB television series, premiered on 1 August 1977. It is a very successful classic series boasting the likes of stars Liza Wang, Simon Yam, Ha Yu and also veteran actors like Bak Man-biu, Tang Pik-wan and Lee Heung-kam. The show became a 1970s drama classic, well-known also for its theme song, "A House Is Not a Home"; 家變, which was composed and arranged by Joseph Koo, with lyrics by the late Wong Jim and sung by Roman Tam.

So (Dicky Cheung), the only son of a landlord in the countryside, had had a quarrel with a retired eunuch and thus escaped to the city with his fiancee, Kwai (Lam Yi Kei), and his fellowman, Wing (Chiang Chi Kwong). They met Hung and again they started a dispute. In the end, they made peace and So even asked to become Hung’s student. However, Hung refused. So, nevertheless, followed Hung and made friends with his students, Gai (Ho Po Sang), Chi (Andy Hui), Kwan (Tsang Wai Kuen) and Hing (Yip Yuk Ping). Whilst So was having fun at Hung’s school, “Po Chi Lam”, he also started a complicated relationship with Yan (Winnie Lau), who had returned from abroad, and Chu (Gigi Lai), a young prostitute. Then, he had row with Bo (Bobby Au Yeung) who set him up and accused him of wrong doings which also involved Hung and his students. The eunuch with whom So had quarreled also appeared to get his revenge. What could So do?

Orphan Ma Tianyou was raised by nuns in a Macau monastery, and grew up with Sister Connie, who knows the truth about his parents but kept it secret. The story starts off with Gam Sai Wai when he embarks on his journey to find Lui Sei Leong to get rid of the poison that is passed on by his master into his body. Sai Wai's master had died because of the poison and before his death, he had told Sai Wai to go find Lui Sei Leong because she can help him. During his journey, he makes friends with lots of people and meets two women who love him very much. The two women are Lai Shing Nam and Kuk Chi Wah. He also gets caught in the affairs of the martial arts world during his journey and keeps on helping the good people, especially Lai Shing Nam and Kuk Chi Wah to fight for justice until he becomes the hero without realizing it.

Happy Ever After is a 1999 Hong Kong grand-production television period drama. A TVB production, the drama was produced by Chong Wai-kin, written by Chan Ching-yee and Choi Ting-ting, and stars an ensemble cast. The drama is set during the reign of the Qianlong Emperor of Late Imperial China's Qing dynasty. The drama tells of a story regarding the struggles of a poor chef and his best friend earning an opportunity to serve the Qianlong Emperor, also befriending the emperor along the way. The drama also places an emphasis on Chinese cuisine with documentations concerning the Manchu Han Imperial Feast. Happy Ever After acclaimed positive reviews from critics and was TVB's third highest-rating drama of 1999, peaking to 40 points. Happy Ever After was re-broadcast on the same channel in 2007 between January and March.
