The film employs several codes of conflict and discord—from the territorial border of India and Pakistan to visuals of Tibetan refugee settlement— to satiate the curiosity to posit violence as a credible response to hurt and harm. It questions its worthiness as device to exact revenge on the transgressor.

Season's Greeting

A mother and daughter relationship, set in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. The 45 minute film is about Romita (Celina Jaitly Haag) who decides to introduce her live-in partner Usmaan "Azhar Khan" to her mother Suchitra "Lillette Dubey" who stays in a bungalow with her maid Chapala "Shree Ghatak". On a September noon, they visit Suchitra, a lady who lives alone after being separated from her husband. Ironically, she lives in a house 'Utsab' (meaning Festival) but she is lonely, often lost in her thoughts. Music is her only companion since her daughter travels due to work assignments and stays in a different city. Daughter's home coming is always celebrated in Bengal, just like Durga Puja.

Majhli Didi

Bipinchandra breaks family tradition by marrying a city girl, Hemangini, much to the chagrin of his sister-in-law, Kadambini, and her husband, Navinchandra. Things are delicate even after both women give birth to two children each. Then Hemangini testifies against Navinchandra in Court, leading to the division of the property. Things got worse by the arrival of Kadambini's orphaned school-going step-brother, Kishan, who is beaten and abused by not only by Kadambini and Navinchandra, but also by their overweight son. When Hemangini objects to Kishan's ill-treatment, Bipin takes the side of the rest of the family, and may probably force her to abandon Kishan to his fate or divorce her.
