The last years have seen a steep rise in the number of Arabs signing up to Israel's army. Considered traitors by many in the Arab community, what drives these young men to fight for a country traditionally in conflict with Arab interests? Does this provide a path for Israeli/Arab integration? In this insightful doc, we follow the first Arab battalion fighting for Israel.

It reveals his extreme paranoia and his compulsion to manipulate those around him. The children and friends of the main victims recount for the first time their experience and their distress related to these nightmarish events.

Six decades after the Nazis systematically exterminated millions of Jews, Holocaust scholar Daniel Goldhagen returns to Europe to examine the roots of genocide and the reasons behind its continuing occurrence. As part of a season marking the 60th anniversary of the founding of Israel, Liran Atzmor's film documents a battle that took place in the Old City of Jerusalem in 1948 from three points of view - photojournalist John Philips, whose pictures for Life magazine depicted the Jews being evacuated from the Old City; Jack Padwa, the producer of a feature film which tells the story from a Jewish British perspective; and photographer Ali Zaarour, who tells the story from the Palestinian viewpoint. Perhaps this is Robert Vas' most personal film; a portrait of his country - Hungary - as seen through the eyes of an exile. Robert Vas escaped from his homeland after the brutal crushing of the 1956 Hungarian Uprising by the Russians and he was never able to return. He portrays his country through the writings of Hungary's national poets and illustrates the film with images of the Revolution and of the society it would become in the years immediately following 1956. The film was transmitted on the 20th anniversary of the crushing of the uprising.
