When a guilt-ridden Emily eventually tries to call it quits, the real drama begins!

Eva, an honest and rigorous examining magistrate, investigates the murder of a young stripper in which a powerful businessman is apparently involved, but she is unable to find enough evidence to implicate him… until a mysterious witness appears who makes her an offer she can't refuse.

The movie is set around a small group of characters experiencing relationships which build and crumble before the viewers eyes. The title of the film refers to the belief, expressed by several of characters, that the goldfish retains a memory of something for only three seconds. Tom, one of the principal characters in the film, draws comparisons between this and the human tendency to jump from one relationship to the next, "forgetting" the pain that any previous one might have caused. The film shows complexities involved in straight, gay, lesbian, and bisexual relationships.

Mariña (23) begins an intense love affair with Ada (25). When Tomás (27), a friend of both, enters the couple’s intimacy, the sexual and amorous bonds are altered and shaken. Six moments of the relationship articulate the film, thrown like flashes of light, with a delicate but wild look close to the real sensations of a loving memory.

A wealthy industrialist's wife gets into a big argument with him; to cool off, she goes on an ocean trip. He thinks she's left him for good, so he marries another woman. When his first wife returns, complications ensue.

César Neira, an almost forgotten actor, gets involved by chance with Teresa, a teacher from a small village in Cáceres who has won a radio contest. The prize is a trip to Madrid to experience just for a fortnight the life of the famous and wealthy people.
