Hong Kong student Ben Lee becomes friends with his mainland Chinese classmate Chang Chih while studying abroad in Japan. Ho asked his Hong Kong girlfriend Joan to help, Joan meets with Ho in China with money, not expecting David's new girlfriend Miu Ying to steal it.

Mindy Chan (Andy Lau) is a top-notched gambler/swindler. His girlfriend Lily (Christy Chung) and friend Ah Chi are card dealers at the casino where bad guy Lau and his mistress Mona (Anita Lee) frequent.
