A fantasy comedy adventure series that melds live action comedians riffing on a stage in front of a live studio audience with animated forays into a fantasy adventure roleplaying game. The intrepid comedians, Dan Harmon, Jeff Davis, and Erin McGathy, along with a rotating special guest member, gather around a kitchen table and attempt to play the game and fail in hilarious fashion, to the chagrin of their adjudicator-referee- Game Master Spencer Crittenden.

Their unexpected passenger is a bloke called Sami who hopes to claim asylum in Britain.

Laser Fart began as a joke submission during a light month in 2004. Creator Dan Harmon was able to keep it alive with a Jack Black cameo in episode 2. On the third episode, Harmon teamed up with samurai lensman David Hartman and Channel 101 history was made. While working as a staff writer on The Red Skelton Show, local Los Angeles television comedian Carson filled in as host when Skelton was injured during a show rehearsal. As a result of Carson’s performance, CBS created the primetime variety program: The Johnny Carson Show, a traditional potpourri of comedy, music, dance, skits and monologues. The short-lived 1955-56 series served as a precursor of what would come later for Carson, planting the seeds for sketches he would perform on the later The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson such as "Mighty Carson Art Players".

The Redd Foxx Comedy Hour was a ABC produced variety show hosted by Redd Foxx (John Elroy Sanford) following his hit sitcom Sanford and Son. It debuted on September 15, 1977 and last aired on January 26, 1978. Despite being rated by critics as entertaining and funny, the show was canceled due to low ratings at the end of it's first season.

Live from Her Majesty's was a Sunday night live variety show which was produced by London Weekend Television for the ITV network and ran from 1982 to 1988. It was broadcast live from Her Majesty's Theatre in London and was very much in the tradition of earlier variety spectacles such as Sunday Night at the London Palladium. The series was presented by Jimmy Tarbuck, produced by the then Head of Light Entertainment at LWT David Bell and directed by Alasdair Macmillan. In its day, the programme attracted a large audience and regularly featured in the TV top ten. A further series of six shows followed in 1986 from London's Piccadilly Theatre, airing simply as Live From the Piccadilly. 1987 witnessed yet another change of venue with a further three series airing as Live From the Palladium until the programme's eventual cancellation in 1988. During the 15 April 1984 show, comedian Tommy Cooper died after suffering a massive heart attack with the audience thinking that it was a joke.

Rent a Pocher was a German television show hosted by comedian Oliver Pocher. The weekly late-night show ran on Thursdays on the commercial television channel ProSieben and was produced by Brainpool. On the show, in addition to comedy bits and celebrity guests, Pocher offered to "rent" himself out to a viewer. For example, Pocher was rented as a babysitter, to pick grapes for wine and as an undertaker's assistant. The final episode aired on 14 April 2006.

Comics Unleashed is a half-hour comedic talk show produced by the Entertainment Studios production company and hosted by Byron Allen, with John Cramer as announcer and DJ Cobra providing music support. The show features a panel of four guest comedians performing their standup bits thinly disguised as a sit-down chat show, sometimes preceded by a brief monologue or joke from Allen. Certain episodes were branded as Comics Unleashed: Hot Chocolate, as the featured comedians on those episodes were all of African descent.
